Summary:
The New Post Office is a modern and newly furnished apartment complex located in the heart of the small town of Westman Islands. The island is located south of the Iceland mainland, and represents one of the most unique places in the country complemented with a breathtaking landscape. Known for the summer football tournaments and festivals, there are a variety of other activities that are available right outside your doorstep, including bike rentals, hiking tours, boat tours, and more.
The Space:
All our apartments are all fully furnished with a private bathroom and kitchen. The size is 28 to 34 square meters with one bedroom and living room with a sofa bed and can accommodate up to 4 persons. Each apartment has a Samsung Smart TV and Wi-Fi, as well as towels, linens, customary toiletries, and a hairdryer. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, toaster, oven, stove and an electric kettle where you can make yourself some coffee or tea.
Guest Access:
The facilities
In the basement you will find a common area where you can sit and chat. There is also a ice machine for our guests at the New Post Office.
In the middle of the corridor there is an exit to our patio, in the hall you can hang up to dry and store larger items such as golf sets and bicycles.
Luggage may also be stored both before check-in and after departure in
the hall.
Please note that no responsibility is taken for luggage or items stored in the area.
At the end of the corridor is a washing machine and dryer that our guests have free use of.
It is not allowed to use that facility after 10:00 p.m. in the evening.
The Neighborhood:
The complex is located in the heart of the city itself and is surrounded by various restaurants and stores. You can enjoy the hiking and running trails, golf courses, museums, as well as the beautiful outdoors inhabited by Iceland's biggest puffin colony.
Getting Around:
Parking for guests is by the house and free of charge.
Other Things to Note:
You can request the use of a baby cot free of charge, please book in advance.
