Summary: We had a lovely couple of nights here. So quiet and relaxing, a true luxurious and romantic place. We had the lodge with the hot tub which had gorgeous views of the pond (number 17). Slight issue with horse flies when walking to and from the main area through the woods but they didn’t like insect repellent so that worked well.
One slight downer was we didn’t get asked if we wanted to book tables for dinner in the evenings and one night was fully booked with what must have been non resident guests. Instead they offered us the option of a picnic which we took and had out in the forest. Beautiful spot but the food was disappointing for the price. Such a shame. Put a bit of a downer on what was otherwise a perfect trip. When somewhere is as remote as that they really should contact guests to see if they want a table held for dinner.
The night we did eat in the restaurant was beautiful and amazing food!!
