Our 25 m2 studio-house is located on the farm Meidavellir, on the edge of the big cliff walls of Ásbyrgi National Park with spectacular views in all directions. From here you can spend days taking trips in all directions (Ásbyrgi, Whale watching, Dettifoss, Mývatn, The Arctic henge, Melrakkaslétta Peninsula and more). This is also the perfect place to just stay, take a breath, relax and enjoy. In our area, there is also a great selection of shorter and longer hiking trails (mostly during summertime) that could suit everyone. We offer drop off and pick up services for hikers and bikers. In autumn and winter this is the perfect place to enjoy the quietness, the winter weather, northern lights and gazing at stars. To experience solitude is a unique feeling. Our studio-houses are beautifully decorated as a home away from home. There you will have everything you need. A fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and outside on the 25 m2 porch is a gas-grill and outside furniture. If you have children with you they are most welcome. They can sleep comfortably in the sofabed (140x200). For children 12 years and younger, it´s free of charge. For children 13-17 years old the price is 2.500 krónur per stay (per child). Our bed linens along with our towels are made from 100% organic fair trade cotton. Our soaps are either organic or naturally handcrafted from our area. We only use organic soaps when cleaning the houses. Welcome to our home away from home!
