The farmhouse consists of a single storey. On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave and gas cooker), a living room, a dining room dominated by its inglenook fireplace, bathroom and WC. The first floor has two back-to-back bedrooms served by a landing. The first bedroom has a double bed and the second has a double and a single bed or three single beds depending on requirements. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. The heating is central although a fire in the stove or in the inglenook fireplace will make your evenings even warmer. Outside there is a private terrace and access to the property and its pond!
In winter, the house is located 25 minutes from the ski resort of Super Besse, 15 minutes from the more family-friendly Chastreix Sancy, and 35 minutes from the Mont Dore resort. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are not forgotten with two of the most important departures of the Massif Central, that of La Stèle and that of Pertuyzat both accessible in only 20min.
During the good weather (or when there is little snow), a host of other activities are available (sled dogs (with go-karts), walks and hikes, visits, heritage, caves, farms and of course cheese tasting, we are in the heart of the AOP Saint Nectaire!
In any season, the thermal towns of La Bourboule and Mont Dore located at 30 min approximately are to be visited and in particular the thermal baths of Mont Dore classified among the most beautiful of Europe.
As far as heritage is concerned, Saint-Donat also has a 12th century Romanesque church. For history lovers, one example among others, the castle of Murol, a fortress of the Middle Ages located at 30min from the house.
