Summary: This was my first experience with this kind of lodging and I admit it felt complicated to read through all of the check-in procedures and obligations about not damaging the propery. My arrival was after a day of being on the road for about 15 hours that included 3 trains and a FlixBux from Frankfurt to Strasbourg. I was way to exhausted to be able to remember all that was needed -completely my fault, but the owner was really great about keeping in touch and being available to help.
