Newly renovated to a very high standard, this apartment is set over two floors in a traditional stone chalet in the heart of the old village of Le Tour, providing excellent self-catering accommodation for both summer and winter rentals. The apartment provides perfect access to the many exciting winter and summer activities for which the valley is famed. It is a two minute walk to both the nursery slopes and the Le Tour cable car which gives access to excellent intermediate skiing and snowboarding. Argentiere, with its demanding runs and some of the best off-piste skiing in Europe, is a short five minute drive away. The apartment has benefited from recent refurbishment yet retains its traditional charm and features. It would provide the perfect base for families or couples looking to explore the valley. Winter in the Chamonix valley.: Some of the best and most demanding skiing and snowboarding in the world is to be found in the valley, with some 200 lifts and 600kms of pistes. For intermediates and experts some of the longest and steepest runs are to be found at the Grand Montets (3200m) in Argentiere as well as at the Aiguille du Midi (3825m) in Chamonix itself. Le Tour offers excellent conditions for beginners and intermediates alike and is ideal for a family holiday. Because of the situation the quality of the snow remains good until late in the season. For those who prefer cross-country skiing there are a number of trails in the valley. In addition, Le Tour boasts more sunshine than any other part of the valley!
