A beautiful Holiday house, perfectly located in the Golden Circle in Southern Iceland. Close by some of Iceland's most popular tourist locations.
The house has three bedrooms and a guest house and can sleep up to 8 people. One bedroom has two single beds, one has a double bed and one has a double bed which can be taken apart to make to single beds. There is also a guest house that has a double bed and a private bathroom with a shower. The house is completely separated from the main building.This gives opportunity for different combinations of groups to choose this house.
The house is very well equipped. It has a spacious living room and a very good and fully furnished kitchen with a dishwasher and everything needed to make delicious meals made from fresh Icelandic produce. A gas stove and an American double fridge. There is a washroom with a washer and dryer so this house is ideal for longer stays. There is a television in every room as well as in the living room. To add to that there is free Wi-Fi so travelers can stay well connected throughout their stay.
On the patio is a gas barbecue as well as a nice hot tub where travelers can enjoy the midnight sun (during summer) or northern lights (during winter)and rest weary bones after sightseeing during the day.
This south Iceland holiday house is perfectly located to serve as a base for day tours around the southern and western part of Iceland. It is located within the Golden Circle so sights such as Thingvellir national park, Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal area and Kerið crater are all within an hours drive from the house.
Less than 20 minutes drive from the house is Route 1, better known as the Iceland Ringroad. From there you could venture further south along the southern shore to see sights such as Reynisdrangar, Reynisfjara or visit Vík village. Further south you'll find Skaftafell national part and the famous Vatnajokull glacial lagoon as well as many other magnificent landmarks.
Iceland's capital Reykjavik is just about an hours drive from the holiday house so there is no reason not to take a trip there to enjoy a variety of restaurants, bars, cafe's, museums or just to take in the sights.
The western part of Iceland is also well within reach of this house. Iceland's highest waterfall Glymur is approximately 1 1/2 hours drive from the house. Snaefellsnes peninsula is 2 1/2 drive. There you can see Snafellsjokull glacier as it towers over the top of the peninsula. Also you can visit Djupalon and Hellnar as well as other interesting places.
